Champagne flows as £60,000 bar bill run up on General Election results

A £60,000 Champagne bar bill is what a group of investment bankers were handed after celebrating predicting the outcome of the General Election.

The £60,000 bar bill was made up of a £36,000 Methuselah of vintage Cristal, a £5,000 Jeroboam of Cristal and a £9,000 Methuselah of Dom Perignon, there was also some Vodka (we are guessing not personalised Vodka), beer and shots added to that was a hefty £8,000 service charge!

A Methuselah is the size of 8 standard sized bottles of Champagne and contains 6 litres of Champagne and a Jeroboam is the size of 4 bottles of Champagne (or 2 Magnums) and contains 3 litres of Champagne.

The men were surrounded by girls all night and although they didn’t reveal how much they had won did say that the bar bill “wouldn’t even touch the sides”.

With Gordon Brown announcing that he is standing down from being the leader of the Labour party we think it would be nice if these investment bankers got him a personalised bottle of champagne as a gift for calling a General Election in the first place which gave them the chance to win so much.
How about knocking up a personalised bottle of Champagne with this label on the side of it?
